Alfonso Rincón García Loygorri is a partner of the firm, which he joined in 2008.
He has more than fifteen years of experience in the practice of law, advising companies before the European Commission and the Spanish competition authorities, both national and regional, in matters related to restrictive agreements, abuse of dominant position, the design, implementation and review of compliance programmes and State aid.
He has also represented companies before the Court of Justice of the European Union and national courts in legal proceedings on these and other matters. His professional practice covers a wide range of sectors, among which are commercial distribution, copyright management, vehicle distribution, the activity of sports authorities, construction, the collaborative economy, marketing of tobacco products or public procurement.
He has been lecturer on EU competition law and policy at CEU San Pablo University in Madrid, where he obtained his PhD, and teaches competition law in several post-graduate programmes.
He has published a book on the application of competition law to sports, and also articles and papers on subjects of his specialty in law journals on EU law and competition law.
