Juan José Montero joined the firm as of counsel in 2013 and he is an expert in the regulation of network industries.
He provides regular advice to large national and international groups, as well as to niche operators. He advises on the definition of general regulatory strategies as well as on administrative procedures on licenses, network access disputes, public service obligations, etc.
He advises national regulatory authorities in Europe and emerging countries (Latinamerica and Africa) on institution building and drafting of legislation.
Juan José Montero is Full Professor in the Administrative Law Department of the UNED University in Madrid, where he lectures economic regulation, and Director in the Florence School of Regulation (Transport Chapter) of the European University Institute in Florence.
He regularly lectures in other universities in Spain and abroad. He is a member of the editorial board of the Revista de Derecho de la Unión Europea, member of the editorial board of «360.revista de alta velocidad» review, and associate editor-in-chief of Competition and Regulation in Network Industries Review. He was the editor of Revista de Derecho de las telecomunicaciones y los transportes. He has written eleven books and more than 50 scientific articles on regulated industries.
