Legal 500, one of the world’s most prestigious legal directories, has shortlisted Helmut Brokelmann as a finalist for the EU & Competition Lawyer of the Year award at the Legal 500 Iberia Awards 2026. The nomination reflects his expertise and contributions in EU and competition law.

The Legal 500 Iberia Awards celebrate excellence across the legal profession in Spain and Portugal. The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of law firms, lawyers and in-house legal teams that have demonstrated exceptional performance over the past year. Nominees are selected through The Legal 500’s rigorous annual research process, which includes extensive market interviews, client references, law firm submissions, and independent assessment by a specialised team of researchers.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in Madrid on 26 November 2026.
