Rafael Allendesalazar acting as NGAs of the CNMC at the International Competition Network (ICN) Annual Conference.

The 25th International Competition Network (ICN) Annual Conference took place in Manila from 6 to 8 May, hosted by the Philippine Competition Commission.

The Conference addressed numerous sessions organized by the Advocacy Working Group, the Agency Effectiveness Working Group, the Cartel Working Group, the Merger Working Group and the Unilateral Conduct Working Group.

The Spanish delegation consisted of Cani Fernandez, Susana Campuzano Fernández, Alfonso Camba, and Enrique Carrera and our managing partner Rafael Allendesalazar, acting as NGAs of the CNMC.

Rafael Allendesalazar moderated a distinguished group of experts including Eshien Chong, Jon J. Nathan, Francis Kariuki, Bruno Renzetti, and Faith Liswaniso in the panel on “Exclusive Dealing: Case Experiences and Policy Perspectives”, that discussed case experience and policy in each of the jurisdictions related to exclusive dealing, a wide spread market practice which can have both procompetitive efficiencies and, under specific circumstances, exclusionary effects.

The Conference concluded welcoming the Portuguese Autoridade da Concorrência (AdC) – Portuguese Competition Authority as organizer of the 2027 ICN Annual Conference to be held in Estoril.
