Juan José Montero joined the firm as of counsel in 2013 and he is an expert in the regulation of network industries.
Juan José Montero is Full Professor in the Administrative Law Department of the UNED University in Madrid, where he lectures economic regulation, and the Director of the Florence School of Regulation (Transport Chapter).
He provides regular advice to large national and international groups, as well as to niche operators. He advises on the definition of general regulatory strategies as well as on administrative procedures on licenses, network access disputes, public service obligations, etc.
He has extensive experience in dealing with national regulatory bodies, handling administrative procedures as well as contentious-administrative appeals, and engaging with European authorities.
He regularly lectures in several universities in Spain and abroad. He is a member of the editorial board of the Revista de Derecho de la Unión Europea, member of the editorial board of «360.revista de alta velocidad» review, and associate editor-in-chief of Competition and Regulation in Network Industries Review. He was the editor of Revista de Derecho de las telecomunicaciones y los transportes. He has written eleven books and more than 50 scientific articles on regulated industries.
